CCCP 900: CERTIFICATE IN CHILD CARE AND PROTECTION
This is a 1 year course aimed at equipping multiple state and non-state actors who provide care and protection services to children with requisite knowledge to understand the diverse needs of the children and interventions.
INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE
The Child Care and Protection curriculum will be offered to persons who provide professional services to children. The course will equip trainees with the necessary knowledge, skills, attitudes and values that will enable them provide quality services to children. The course will also enhance trainees’ self development, professional growth and help them develop a creative mind.
The training process should as much as possible relate to the trainee’s daily life experience. The trainer should also ensure that trainees are engaged in structured and unstructured personal development activities.
Suggested teaching and learning resources, evaluation methods and teaching and learning activities have been included. The training and learning resources should as much as possible be obtained from trainee’s local environment.
